A gift for you!

My first attempt at working with leather was in my early high school years. I loved it and was amazed that, unlike my attempts at pottery and sculpting, what I envisaged in my head actually translated into my work! Alas, science and maths got in the way so I had to give up art and craft pretty early in school.

So anyway, now to celebrate the rebirth of my leather work (and crafting in general really), I am giving away a leather business card pouch to one of my readers. I know there aren't many of you so you'll have a pretty fair chance of winning!

Just leave me a comment and I'll draw a name from a hat over the weekend. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Leather pouch with Japanese fabric cover

Leather pouch with Japanese fabric lining

P.s. the vase and the box you see in the pictures with the pouch are not included with the giveaway. Nor are the business cards I picked up from the Stitches and Craft show. :D

It's beautiful, Karin. I think first attempts at sewing projects are extra special so I'd like to win this esp. since it is made by you.

i love it, if it was a bit bigger, eg clutch sized, and if i actually had any money i would seriously buy that!!! the colours go so lovelely (sorry i made up a new word) together!

(not to say it isnt gorgeous as a business card holder i just couldnt justify spending money on something i don't need, not that i wouldn't love to have it anyway:) )

Thanks Tanya, clutches are definitely where I'm heading but thought I'd start small for now. Thanks for the feedback!

Oh, my darling Karin! I'm so proud of your gorgeous crafty work, and of course I'd be honoured to win something so special- however, because I'm vegan, leather's a no-no. I hope whoever does win it enjoys the very unique talent and love that you've put into it! :-)

Hey, also kame from Kirin's. Lovely place you have here, and also the pouch is nice.

I came over from Kirin's also. I was just asked for a card yesterday and didn't have one. Now that I am planning to make some cards, would it be wonderful to have a lovely holder like that to pull out of the handbag to present my card - and of course to store others' cards as well.

Sure hope I win!

xoxo

Congratulations on your first project - it's absolutely stunning. The delicacy of the Japanese fabric complements the leather perfectly. Well done!
