Tim, a friend of mine, is a journalist for The Age who had the opportunity to visit the north Victorian town where of its 210 residents, 30 people died in the worst bushfire Victoria has ever seen. This is what he reported:

Strathewen is only one of many townships affected by the blaze in Victoria.
